Zhiyong Tan

I am a PhD student at Rice University in the Rice Efficient Computing Group, led by Associate Professor Lin Zhong. My current interests are in mobile and embedded systems. However, my range of interests is wide and encompasses many fields of electrical and computer engineering.  I have considerable experience with Xilinx Field Programmable Gate Arrays, as well as software projects involving C++ and Java programming and expressing algorithms in MATLAB. My undergraduate degree is in Applied Physics, and I have over a year and half of experience in working on projects involving organic semiconductor device fabrication as well as other scientific projects.
